Current Project Nears Completion

At the end of last year, we finished the deck and superstructure for the Northumberland type Trawler Yacht 'Mystic Bond' The hull was built by North Shore Boats of Arisaig, Nova Scotia, and delivered to our shop in July 2001. We have now completed a lot of the inside finishing; mahogany stairs into the aft cabin, the forward cabin and the companionway are complete. Curved cherry walls in the aft cabin create the bathroom and shower. The headliners in the aft cabin and pilot house are finished, and a teak and holly floor has been laid throughout. The engine and hydraulic installations are just about complete and the electrical system and electronics are currently being completed. Photographs can be viewed on our Current Project Page Launch is scheduled for May 2002.

The Dinghy Shop

The shop is building five dinghies at present. We have just brought in the jigs for a 7'7" Nutshell Pram and a 9'6" Martha's Tender to join the three Optimist Dinghies currently on the shop floor.

Pocket Trawlers

30' Trawler
Preparations are being made to start construction of a newly designed 30' pocket Trawler. This boat is for the 'Yachtie' who is looking to change their ways…from sail to power. Emphasis is on hull design to ensure economical horsepower but maintain a powerful 12 knot cruising speed. The interior is laid out and finished to fine Yacht finish. The hull and superstructure will be epoxy fibreglass Core-Cell sandwich.

Small Sailing Boats

Think about ordering a custom Catboat from us.

We build Catboats in several methods, epoxy composite, cold moulded, plywood planked, traditionally planked, and by many designers; Joel White's 15' Marsh Cat, a range of Charles Wittholz boats in round bilge and chine, the large Ted Brewer Cats, the traditionally constructed Fenwick Williams Cats and our own Millecat.
